What is purposeful prosperity?

The meaning of the word ‘purpose’ as a verb is: have as one's intention or objective. As a noun, it is: the reason for which something is created or for which something exists.

The word prosperity as a verb means: to do or fare well. Prosperity as an adjective means: improving, growing or succeeding steadily. Prosperity as a noun means: state of health, happiness, welfare and well-being. Put simply, it’s the conditions of being successful or thriving.

Purposeful prosperity is looking at our lives in a purposeful way and creating them to be prosperous, not only money-wise but in the very reason for which we exist.

When I talk about purposeful prosperity, I'm coming from a place that says we already have enough and we are enough because the not-enough belief is simply a self-judgment.

There is no evidence, and I would certainly stress, that this particular self- judgment is neither useful nor beneficial. In fact, the evidence suggests that when we have this particular judgment, whether it’s that we don't have enough or we are not enough, it is damaging and it reinforces inappropriate behavior that can express as negative or not so wonderful outcomes again and again.

Since the Universe only says yes, it has been proven over and over again that, if we have the thoughts that we’re not enough or that there isn't enough, that is what we demonstrate and manifest in our lives. What is quite interesting is that we have no problem believing the Universe says yes when we have those negative self judgments or that negative self talk because so many times we’ll say “well, I knew that was going to happen.”

How often have you or anyone you have talked to had positive thoughts about themselves or their prosperity and then when the Universe said yes to those thoughts or words they said, “see, I knew it was going to be good?”

Why is it that we are so willing to buy into the lie that we've been told over and over again that we are not enough and, certainly, there isn't enough - whether it's time, money, love, looks, youth - you name it? There is an abundance of ‘not-enough-ness’ going around.

So when I talk about purposeful prosperity, I'm coming from a place of being authentic in your intention to live a prosperous life: one of profitability (which certainly is about money) one of affluence and wealth and luxury and comfort and security and well-being and serenity. There are many people that have a lot of monetary prosperity in the world and they are in no way purposeful about it and they certainly do not have serenity around it.

When I talk about allowing your divinely inspired life purpose to come forth and to go about creating a life from that place, then you are living on purpose and you will have the prosperity that follows in many different forms.

I've not heard anyone talk about purposeful prosperity and I feel like it's really about personal, purposeful prosperity. So when I'm asking you to make it personal, I am saying “take the responsibility for creating your life purpose, living your life on purpose and then going out and becoming prosperous from a place of purpose”.

When you're looking within - really going deep around the questions “What am I here for? What have I come to be and offer in the world?” - you are then coming from a place of authentic “digging” at a ‘soulular’ level.

This is really deep work and I would venture to say that you already know what it is you want. It's so easy to say “I don't have any idea what I want” yet I would wager to bet that you go through most of your life saying things like “I don't like that, that's not where I wanted to go, I didn't ask for this”. Doesn't this speak to what you don't want? All you would really have to do is look at all of the times you said similar things and create the opposite to see what it is you do want. When you're willing to sit and ponder that, then you will be able to know what you want in the way of “how do I want to live my life from a purposeful place?”

There has been much talk about purpose in the world yet, in my on-purpose coaching practice around purposeful prosperity, the one piece I know is missing is to find first what has been running your life. From there, you can look deeper into the work of creating your life purpose and therefore live a life of purposeful prosperity.
